About The East Coast of Barbados
The east coast of Barbados is pretty quiet compared to the south and west coasts, making this a great choice for a relaxing retreat away from it all.
The east coast of Barbados is known for beautiful beaches with great conditions for surfers. Home to Soup Bowl, one of the most advanced surf breaks on the island and arguably the world, surfers and nature enthusiasts will feel right at home on the Barbados east coast.
Bathsheba is the main village where you can stay on the east coast of Barbados. Bathsheba has a nice beach area, plenty of surf spots, and a few tasty restaurants and rum shops. Cattlewash and Windy Hill are more remote but are just a short drive to Bathsheba.
While there is a bus that connects Bathsheba to the rest of the island, it’s best to rent a car if you’re staying on the East Coast so you can have easier access to grocery stores, restaurants, and attractions that are further afield.
