Lobster Alive

Located in Carlisle Bay just outside of the city, Lobster Alive was originally a wholesale distributor for the island’s hotels and restaurants. It is now a well-known restaurant that is loved by visitors and locals alike. If you’re looking for some of the best lobster in the country, this is the place to go!

A seafood lovers paradise, Lobster Alive incorporates its namesake into many different dishes from a range of different cultures all present on the island.

On the menu, you can look forward to spring rolls, samosas, and chowder with either lobster, crab, or conch. You can also request the catch of the day with your choice of sides.

One thing that sets Lobster Alive apart from many other seafood restaurants on the island is that you can order live from the tank and pay based on the weight of the lobster you choose. 

Harbour Lights

Located just outside of the city, Harbour Lights has something for everyone. During the day, guests can relax on the beach and enjoy food from the grill while sipping on rum punch. By night, Harbour Lights is one of the top places for a night out.

They also host a lively Caribbean dinner show every Wednesday evening. Drinks and a Caribbean BBQ buffet with local favorites such as Bajan macaroni pie are included in the price.

For those 18+, head over on Friday night when the beach bar turns into a nightclub. Here, you can dance the night away and grab something from the grill for a delicious late-night snack. 

Cuzz’s Fish Stand

Located by the Radisson Hotel near Pebbles Beach is a well-known food stand that has been serving customers for 50 years. Many believe that Cuzz’s Fish Stand serves the best fish cutter (a type of sandwich) that you can find on the island.

Their signature blue marlin sandwich is served on Bajan salt bread with tomato, lettuce, and pickles. You can also add cheese, a fried egg, BBQ sauce mayo, or scotch bonnet hot sauce, a classic on the island, if you’re in the mood. 

This is definitely one of the best places to eat in Bridgetown, if not all of Barbados!

MOJO Bar & The Chopping Board Kitchen

The Mojo Bar and Chopping Board Kitchen is a great place to spend the evening. Grab a bite to eat and stick around for a while as the bar is filled with locals and tourists enjoying live music and dancing.

Mojo is located a little further from the city than some of the other places on this list but it’s easy to access using public transportation.

The menu includes classic pub eats, burgers, and a few Bajan additions such as fish cakes. Also, be sure to try some of their amazing cocktails from the bar. This was one of our favorite restaurants in Bridgetown for a casual evening with great food.


Located in the same area as Mojo’s, Champers is an amazing restaurant perched on the water’s edge. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic meal, special occasion, or anyone who wants to treat themselves while on holiday. 

All items on the menu have a Caribbean twist, offering the perfect blend of cuisines you know and love while introducing you to the distinct flavor of the island. There is even a kid’s menu for those under fourteen, so if you’re traveling to Barbados with kids, make sure to add Champers to your list.

Lunch is served every day except for Saturdays from 11:30 am until 3:00 pm. The lunch menu includes items like a Caribbean version of shepherd’s pie, shrimp curry, and braised lamb shank. 

Dinner is served every day from 5:45 pm until 9:30 pm with options like confit duck leg, slow-roasted pork belly, and chickpea lentil curry. Of course, be sure to try signature creations and local classics from their cocktail menu!

Located further up the street from Champers is another amazing spot to eat in Bridgetown. Salt Cafe Barbados is fairly new to the scene but has already drawn its fair share of loyal customers.

This Bridgetown restaurant has a small but diverse menu with something for everyone. Choose from an array of menu items such as tuna poke bowls, cauliflower steak, braised lamb shank, and sweet potato crusted fish. 

Green Lime Eco-Cafe & Juice Bar
