Surfer’s Cafe Barbados is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast or lunch on the island. When researching places to stay for an upcoming trip, proximity to Surfer’s Cafe was a very important consideration on my checklist. (I ended up booking a place within walking distance, and my taste buds are very happy!)
Surfer’s Cafe is a casual, friendly restaurant perched directly over Welches Beach just a few steps from the Oistins Fish Market. It’s got an amazing sea view, and it’s the perfect place for a bite if you’re coming off a surf session at Freights Bay, South Point, or Surfer’s Point.

Surfer’s Cafe is located directly off the main road in Oistins (H7) on the ZR line 11. It’s in an ideal location across the street from the Massy Supermarket and an easy walk to Miami/Enterprise Beach.
When you walk in you’ll immediately notice two tables at the end of the restaurant with million-dollar views. These tables are on little balconies that extend over the sea, offering beautiful views down the south east coast in both directions.
They also have indoor seating and picnic tables with umbrellas out front, but make sure you at least take a look at the view before leaving. Overall, the restaurant feels breezy and open with high ceilings and surf-themed decor. For cool vibes and great service, Surfer’s Cafe can’t be beat.

Surfer’s Cafe Barbados Menu
The breakfast menu is available from 7:00am until 11:00am each day. Choose from classic dishes like waffles, french toast, bagels, fruit salad, flatbreads, avocado toast, and omelets. There’s also a banana split made with Greek yogurt and granola. The avocado toast is my go-to and I love it with a side of fried plantains.
For lunch and dinner, they have a large selection of good burgers, wraps, tacos, catch of the day dishes, and sandwiches. There’s also pasta and tasty starters like buljol, wings, and loaded fries.

The veggie wrap is one of my favorites and I’m a big fan of the fish cakes that come with a special sauce. You really can’t go wrong with any of the side dishes, especially the plantains and sautéed potatoes.

If you’re vegetarian, there are several veggie-friendly items on the morning and afternoon menus. They also serve cocktails, wine, coffee, and fun fruit smoothies.
You can check out the full menu on their website here.
